LilPebs ("we," "us," "our") operates the LilPebs rock collection and identification service. We are committed to protecting the privacy of children and families who use our platform.

We collect only what's necessary to provide the service:

• Account information: email address and display name provided during signup.
• Photos: rock images you upload for identification or your collection.
• Usage data: basic analytics like pages visited and features used — no cross-site tracking.
• Parent information: parent email address when a child account is created, used solely for parental consent and notifications.

• Identify rocks and provide educational content.
• Store and display your rock collection.
• Moderate gallery posts for safety.
• Send parent notifications about account activity.
• Improve the service (aggregated, anonymized data only).

• We never sell your data to third parties.
• We never show ads or use ad-tracking.
• We never share children's personal information without parental consent.
• We never use data for behavioral profiling of children.

Photos are stored securely using Firebase Storage with access controls. Account data is stored in encrypted databases. We use HTTPS for all data transmission. We retain data only as long as your account is active.

We use the following third-party services to operate LilPebs:

• Firebase Authentication: secure sign-in.
• Firebase Storage: photo hosting.
• Google Gemini AI: rock identification (photos are processed but not stored by Google for training).

Parents and guardians can review, edit, or delete their child's data at any time through the Parent Dashboard. You may also contact us directly to request data deletion.

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time. When an account is deleted, all photos, collection data, and personal information are permanently removed within 30 days.

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll notify registered users via email of any significant changes. Continued use of LilPebs after changes constitutes acceptance.
